Inspiration for the Children's Museum came as a result of the tragic 1989 Cleveland School shootings.
The Founding Director of the Children’s Museum, Janet Geng, was a teacher who was wounded in the shooting.
With support from local businesses, individual donors and the City of Stockton, she helped open the Children’s Museum in March of 1994.
With more than 40 hands-on interactive exhibits, the museum provides children, families, and schools with a safe and fun center of discovery and learning.

"Kids had such a fun time! Lots of cute exhibits that allow kids to use their imagination. Will definitely be coming here again!"
